elw was boring on the first day. All she did was to repeat whatever ms chiew had said when i was a student in ny. aHhH!! so i was practically sleeping half of the lecture. hehe..luckily they said.."40% of your final assignment comes from your participation in class." GOSH! that definitely kept me awake cuz i had to SPEAK in class and offer my suggestions. But the workshop didn't turn out as bad as i thought it out to be. Afterall, i was there to learn something and I did! suprisingly..hehe.. Introductions..thesis statements..offering a background to the topic, shocking statistics, striking images, definitions..just everything that ms chiew has taught. However this time, we were told to write a research report which is TOTALLY different from a GP essay. So i thought i'd better keep my eyes and ears wide opened just in case i lose out on any important point. Grammar..be concised..remove redundant sentences..know what you're talking about..thesis statement should include your stand and guide the reader through your essay..it should include a flow of your ideas and what the reader should expect from reading your essay. WOW! overload of information in just 2 days..but i've learnt alot! definitely improved my english skills somehow.

for a moment i thought i couldn't fit into the culture of school..but it seems i'm doing fine. Everyone knows at least someone through LONG LONG LONG connections. Like..mag's schoolmate knows her & i found that out on day one..& cherie's my primary schoolmate from PLMGPS! now you know why i kinda like it there now? hehe..everyone's so friendly. It did shock me at first when they approached me and just talked casually..but after awhile, i just got used to it. so..ask me if i like it there.. "OF COURSE I DO!!"..hehe..

no more updating cuz assignment's due on wednesday..better get my brains out and squeeze everything i know about globalisation onto that laptop..

    ciao!
